Jason has been around sports cars all his life, since his father owned SN Motors, the local Porsche/Lotus dealer. Jason started working for Yogi Thakore in high school and has been a vital part of Yogi's business ever since. Jason states that Yogi has been a great influence on him. Jason has been involved in rally, ice racing, and autoslaloms since becoming a member of the Saskatoon Sports Car club in 1989.

Jason has ran many different VW’s in autoslaloms and rallies. He raced VW rabbits/golfs in the Saskatoon Sports Car club ice race series over the years. Jason current ride is a Reynard F2000, running in the WCMA Formula Libre class.

Jason has been the solo 2 C-Modified regional and club champion many times over his 18 year history with the Saskatoon Sports Car Club. He was instrumental in getting the Ice Race series together in 2005/2006 in Saskatoon.

In 2006, Jason attended the Winnipeg sports car club High Performance Driving Experience to gain his road race license. He also attended 2 races in 2006.
In 2007, Jason made it to 3 races, 2 in Gimli, and 1 at RaceCity in Calgary, Alberta.

Jason was a part of a driver sponsorship event in 2007 at the SADA (Saskatchewan Association of Automobile Dealers) Autoshow – A charity autocross raised $1200 for Camp Easter Seals, the drivers gave ‘ride-alongs’ for $3 donation, every person attending the show(30,000+) spectated at the event.

Jason drives a 1983 Reynard F2000. It is very similar to the other F2000 cars in TeamSask, being powered by the same 2L Ford 4 cylinder engine, utilizing a Hewland Mk 9 gearbox, with 4 wheel disc brakes and inboard suspension. Jason's experience as a mechanic at Prairie Autohaus ensures that his car is meticulously looked after and is always fast.
