![]() Colin first remembers his Dad photographing racing/autoslaloms as a child; that fostered his enthusiasm for cars. He began autoslaloming in 1992, and have been a part of the Saskatoon Sports Car Club ever since.
Colin road races a 1998 Nissan 200SX. Colin would list his club and regional trophies from autoslalom and rallying as his highest personal accomplishments in racing. As well as the many years of autoslalom, rally, and ice race experience, Colin took part in the 2006 Winnipeg Sports Car Club High Performance Driving Experience, which is where he gained my Western Canadian road race licence. In 2007, he raced at Gimli Motorsports Park Race #4 in his Nissan 200SX competing in the WCMA IT2 class. Colin garnered 2 1st, 3 2nd, and 1 3rd place positions over the weekend. He was also involved in a promotional weekend in Saskatoon at the SADA (Saskatchewan Association of Automobile Dealers) Autoshow. A charity autocross raised $1200 for Camp Easter Seals, the competitors gave ‘ride-alongs’ for $3 donation, every person attending the show (30,000+) spectated at the event. 1998 Nissan 200SX Colin's car races in the IT2 category, which allows modest modifications, but aims to allow people to get into racing easily. The Nissan has a full roll-cage, built by Jim of StreetWise Services, as well as the other required safety gear, but otherwise is quite stock.
